I think I've come to the point where anything I do to this now ends up making things worse... I made this as a personal challenge to tackle colors and landscapes, but somewhere through the screen changes I reaaaally messed up the colors so now it's just painful to stare at it hahaha.... ;; Though I will add that I think the time and effort spent through the struggles was a worthy experience! Still got so much to learn! Hopefully I can make more challenge pieces like this to intentionally push my boundaries in the future.
Definitely take this as good experience mate...you should not be so hard on yourself This piece certainly grabbed my attention amongst your gallery. I really like the vividness of the colours in the foreground, which really stand out amongst the blues of the rest of the piece. It is as though we are at the edge of the great beyond that is the ocean, and we are watching the manta rays begin their journeys to wherever the water takes them. The rays themselves add an extra interest point in this piece as well - the background would've been a bit too empty otherwise.
really it does not seem so bad as you say but then again im optimesstic i do love the display of cool yet bright colors, well i hope when you finish your next artwork you will for more excited than i am right now
Thanks! I'm almost always unhappy about something in each of my works, but am glad that I recognize what bugs me so that I can focus on improving those points, so it's not a bad thing.
lol yeah totally not a bad thing, but with full front honesty since i can see what detail and effort you put to your work ill always like it because the time and dedication you put into it and can be inpirational as well XD again Mad props Ruina-sama!!
I really love your vibrant colours! Um...in terms of composition, I think you could've done better. Maybe make the foreground bigger, or add more contrast in the background because I feel like there's too much negative space in the middle.
YES! THANK YOU FOR POINTING OUT MY WEAKNESS!! I've always felt that composition (among other things) was one of my weakest points so I really appreciate you giving me pointers in this area! *___* Heck I didn't know for sure what "negative space" was until you just mentioned it and I finally looked it up. /fail I'll be sure to keep what you suggested in mind for my coming pieces!
Awesome. Favourited
